The girls have eleven hockey teams, all of which have an extensive fixture list. They have been very successful in the past few years, winning the U19 and U15 Sussex cup on numerous occasions and finishing as Sussex champions at 1st XI, U16, U15 and U14 level. In the last two years the U18, U16 and U14 teams qualified for the regionals, with the U16 team making it to the national finals in 2003 and 2004 and finishing as runners-up in 2004. The 1st XI also qualified for the national finals in 2005.
The boys have fourteen hockey teams, with an extensive fixture list across Sussex and Kent. They have been very successful in the last sixteen years, winning the John Robertson Cup for the best school in Sussex at U18 level for eleven of the last sixteen years; they have been runners-up on three other occasions. Sides have reached the national finals in eight of the last ten years. The U18, U16 and U14 teams qualified for the regional finals in 2003, with the U16 team making it to the national finals in 2003, when they came third, and 2004, when they came fifth.
The College has a strong link with local clubs, especially with Eastbourne Hockey Club, whose 1st XI at one time included nine Old Eastbournians.
