Pupils also represent Sussex annually at the inter-counties match and may go on to participate at the National Schools. Training takes place on the cinder track at Memorial but growing use will be made of the local tartan track where the skills of the four members of staff involved can be supplemented with input from the local club. A number of pupils combine membership of both clubs.

A large inter-house competition, College Sports (each house fielding four teams) at the end of the Lent term ensures that the vast majority of pupils have a chance to be involved. Further competition is offered in the junior standards competition for Years 9 and 10 in the final week of the summer term.
