What do the archives contain?
The College archives contain documentary and photographic memorabilia and historic artifacts. Materials relating to the lives and achievements of Old Eastbournians and former staff are classified and maintained as is information on buildings, sport, activities and major events.
The College Timeline
Discover more about our history by viewing the College Timeline, a fascinating illustrated record of the development of the College since its foundation in 1867.
Donations are always welcome
Memorabilia to support these records are frequently donated by OEs and others, and are occasionally purchased. Each term an exhibition covering some aspect of College history is mounted for the interest of current pupils and articles are submitted for the Old Eastbournian magazine.
Making enquiries
Enquiries from OE families, authors and others are frequently received and responded to. These may require research involving reference to libraries, museums, public bodies, learned societies and other sources in both the UK and overseas.
Contact the archivist
The archives are maintained by two OEs, Michael Partridge and Simon Wood, who can be contacted on 01323 451901 or mp@eastbourne-college.co.uk. Postal enquiries can be sent to The Archivist at the College's main address.
